At Wallsend Toastmasters, we are all people striving to improve ourselves. We all have a commitment to helping our community by volunteering our time and encouragement, and in return we cannot help but grow in confidence and ability. We offer that to everyone with the courage to turn their life around and with the generosity to invest just two hours a week into uplifting others. The rewards are always mutual.
Toastmasters is a not-for-profit organisation, where ordinary people learn to become extraordinary leaders and communicators. We learn to lead the enormous Toastmasters organisation and to speak with confidence, even in front of groups of people we never imagined we could face. And at the same time we take those skills into the rest of our lives, discovering we have achieved something outstanding.
Very few people are natural speakers, and even if you are a natural, then you probably need to gain some speaking skills and experience. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you areto become better communicators.
At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.

We meet every Thursday evening at 7.00 pm for 7.15 pm start. You are most welcome to
sit in on any meeting, and when you see what
a friendly bunch we are, you will be eager to
join immediately.
